In September 2003, I suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in my right knee while playing football, which really broke me mentally. At that time I was around 11 stone. Then I started drinking way too much and my diet was shocking – at my heaviest I ended up weighing 15 stone and 9lbs and I’ve struggled with my weight ever since.
Then I saw a few posts for Fight Fit Combat Fitness on my Facebook wall via friends and, in January 2015, I decided to give it a go. I really enjoyed it and have met lots of positive people. After getting to know Fight Fit Ben and Fight Fit Em a little more, I saw they did Personal Training but always thought this would be too expensive.
But after trying a free taster session, I was hooked! Ben is such a brilliant motivator and gets the most out of you and I’ve been doing PT ever since. I’ve lost more than three per cent body fat and now weigh 13 stone, 11 lbs and feel so much better and more confident. I still haven’t reached my target measurements but am well on the way.

I have tried dieting to lose weight and I’ve tried going to the gym to tone up. I’ve never stuck to either and found both a chore, yet I do want to lose weight and tone up.

I wanted to try personal training to help with motivation, which I have always struggled with when at the gym by myself. I chose Fight Fit PT because I love Fight Fit classes and knew that Emma and Ben would be the best people to motivate me and get results.
Emma is amazing. She is so supportive (even when you’ve had naughty days) and her encouragement when I’m working hard is what I need to keep me going. She knows just how much to push you without over doing it, but enough so that you feel your muscles have worked (and you struggle to walk the next day). After 3 weeks, I lost six inches, two pounds and one per cent body fat.
