Fight Fit 45 is a 45-minute, high-intensity interval training workout packed full of unique exercises that will work you hard.

Our fun and energetic group workout classes combine HIIT training with plyometrics.

Perfect for anyone who is keen to tone and define muscle groups. Anyone who is eager to improve their fitness. And, anyone who is looking to burn fat, FAST!

High intensity interval training (HIIT)

HIIT is a training method where you give 100 per cent effort in bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods – and we’re talking seconds not minutes!

This type of high-intensity interval training gets your heart rate up and keeps it up so you burn more fat in less time.

Short, intensive bouts of exercise helps burn more fat and calories faster than regular aerobic and steady-state workouts.

In fact, you can achieve more progress in 15 minutes of interval training than jogging on a treadmill.

Suitable for anyone who is keen to shift body fat, have a more toned appearance and feel fitter, healthier and more alert.

And with Fight Fit 45 taking just 45 minutes from start to end, there’s no excuses for not having the time to exercise!


Plyometric training is also known as jump training.

This training focusses on moving from a muscle extension to a contraction in a rapid or ‘explosive’ manner.

These are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power, speed and strength and therefore making our muscle groups appear more toned and defined.

Plyometrics exercise can be used for upper or lower body drills and are typically high intensity.

Lower-body plyometric drills might include squat jumps or box drills – where you jump on or off a box.

Box drills may involve the use of both legs or just one leg.

Upper body plyometric drills might consist of medicine ball throws and catches or clap pushups.

How can I take part in Fight Fit 45?

We currently offer three classes a week with places limited. We run 4-week terms and you must book in advance.

Where does Fight Fit 45 take place?

Wheldrake Village Hall on Fridays at 6:30pm (limited to 22 places) and Melodies in York on Tuesdays at 7:15PM (limited to 30 places).

How do I book?
